Fighting with a driver

Here is a video of Danica fighting in the pits with another driver, but this fight is a little different. She is arguing with Milka Duno, another female driver. Milka has raced quite a few races in the IndyCar series but she has not reached the skill level or popularity of drivers like Danica or any others. She is not a constant driver in the series and when she is racing she is not that strong.

The feuds between Danica and Milka are numerous, you would think that since they are the only women in a male dominated sport they would learn to respect and help each other; not throw things and use foul language towards each other.

This particular fight takes place in the pits after Milka hits Danica forcing her to wreck and ending both of their days and sending them to the garage.

Danica on Center Stage

Here is a video of Danica on a show called Center Stage. This interview was supposed to be a part of the book tour for her autobiography. However the conversation quickly turned to the racy photos she had taken for FHM Magazine in 2002, one picture shown on the side, and how those pictures helped her racing career because sponsors began to take notice of her. She used her body and sex appeal to gain sponsorships and advance her racing career.

Danica in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Swimsuit issue:

As previously stated Danica has become a world wide sex symbol. Here she is shooting for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. She is with out a doubt beautiful; this is where the gener confusion comes in for many of us... she is absolutely stunning in these photos and portrays everything we believe as being uniquely "woman" however on the track she is a completely different person battling it out with all the men.

Hello Everyone,

For those of you that have never heard of Danica Patrick, this is her picture on the Left. She is a race car driver in the IndyCar Series. In her first year of racing (2005) she become the first woman to ever lead the Indianapolis 500, became the second woman to win the pole position (number one starting position in the race), she finished 12th in the Series championship, plus shes named Rookie of the year for both the 2005 Indianapolis 500 and the IndyCar Series.

Danica has spent most of her racing career breaking barriers for women and proving to the men she deserves a spot in "their" sport. However she has also managed to become a sex symbol. At 5'2 and just 100 pounds Danica is like a tiny piece of Dynamite. Her small size will throw you off because her attitude is so explosive. In a sport dominated by men this women will not let anyone take advantage of her.

In the constant fight of gender roles and what that means for her career Danica is able transcend a man's sport with the elegance, grace and beauty as only a woman can. Danica questions all gender roles we see in today's society; she races cars which is a very masculine sport yet she is still very "girly" as most would say. She was a cheerleader before she became a racer, she loves clothes, shoes and makeup.
